Private Indoor and Outdoor Cycling Lessons
Program Overview Private indoor lessons or outdoor rides are designed to fit the needs of the individual or group. Cycling skills, drills, and techniques are covered in your session. Topics may include:Basic Equipment and Maintenance • Maintenance inspection • What to carry on the bike • Changing a flat • What to do after the ride Basic Skills • Mounting & dismounting the bike safely • Riding in a straight line • Looking back while riding forward • Signaling to motorists & cyclists • Speed control – breaking & stopping Advanced Skill List • Eating & drinking while riding • Drafting • Emergency stopping • Cornering • Descending • Group riding Advanced Skill List • Climbing technique & cadence • Bottle pick up • Isolated leg training • High cadence spins All cyclists should have a repair kit with them; including pump &/or CO2, spare tube, & tire iron. Outdoor Riders should be prepared with an adequate amount of food, begin the ride with at least 2 bottles, and dressed appropriately for the weather. All rides are led by USA Triathlon certified coaches. Cost: $80 for the 1st Hour. $50/Hour thereafter. Discounts to groups of 2 or more.
