4:30am alarm goes off.
5:00am I have the car packed (did this the night before), head down to my office to prepare and hopefully have time for a quick run in the dark before heading over to set up for the expo.
5:30-6:20 Run down Comm Ave, up to Beacon Hill, run a few repeats up and down, then head back to Joint Ventures for a quick shower and grab last few items.
7am meet Coach Vic and Coach Kelly in front of MIT, unload all our equipment, supplies, BPC water bottles...etc
8am-10am Strength Training for Multisport Athletes workshop: 30 athletes show up in a small room to hear what we have to say about how to create a strength training program, what components should be in a program, and go thru a mini strength session. It was fantastic to teach these athletes about diagnosing their weakness/tightness, how to adjust for their compensations and how to program their strength workouts to help alleviate pain and gain strength.
10am-6pm Stand around at the BPC booth. Talk to and meet many new potential athletes. See so many athletes who line up at the same races. Watch Michael Yenke and Elizabeth Kennedy, Jay Higginbottom all do the indoor time trial. Walk around the expo, talk to other vendors, meet other potential sponsors...great energy and enthusiam for triathlon abides.
Some new potential supporters of BPC:
NRG Bar- great tasting whole food bar developed by Dan O'Rourke
NuBound-nucleotides to aid in recovery and rejuvination
MaxPerformance-creating a dual partnership between BPC athletes and Max Performance Races
All in all it was a great and productive day for BPC at the Expo. We saw many old friends and new ones, helped athletes learn about strength training, BPC massage therapists and chiropractor worked on athletes all day. It really was a great day and now we are ramping up for the season.
See ya out there.
